Eternal Mass is a digital art project by Mariko Mori brought to life through NFTs. Inspired by quantum physics and ancient mythology, it explores the concept of coupling and the eternal nature of the soul. Visualizing "eternal souls" as pearlescent spheres in an "unseen" dimension, the project aims to connect people through a digital network.

The Work

Laura Micalizzi Design played a crucial role in supporting Mariko Mori throughout various aspects of the project's development, such as creating renders, creating a storyboard and efficiently managing resources to bring the vision to reality.
Alberto Barone has been of essential support in the development of this piece.

The NFT

※ NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a technology built on the non-fungible Blockchain technology to create unique and unreplaceable assets, unlike digital data that is easy to copy, which demands a new kind of market for trade. Modern society that has embraced “universal values” such as freedom, human rights, and democracy, inspires limitless human desire which drives capitalism that is now globalized and leads to relentless competitions among nations to protect their interests. How can we utilize NFT and create a new media art based on it? This is an important question that will likely determine the future of our society.
